Red Velvet Banana Bread

Ooooh yes, I sure do love banana bread! I am always trying to think of new ways to make basic recipes different and exciting. I saw a post on Pinterest for red velvet banana bread and my mouth immediately watered. The best part about this recipe is it doesn’t need too many ingredients at all, but it looks like you spent a lot of time, effort, & money into it! This is one of the greatest recipes I’ve made thus far, and my roommates agree. I know red velvet banana bread sounds kind of weird, but it’s just like chocolate banana bread, and oh my gosh, so moist. And SO.GOOD. Not to mention the beautiful color!

3 ripe bananas
3 eggs
1/3 C vegetable oil
1 box of red velvet cake mix
powdered sugar for dusting

1. Preheat oven for 350 and grease your bread pan
2. Mix together all the ingredients until batter forms. Don’t use directions from the back of the cake box, just use the dry ingredients it gives you
3. Pour batter into loaf pan
4. Bake for 40-50 minutes and let cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan
5. Dust the top with a coat of powdered sugar

I haven’t tried it, but I’m sure you could use this for muffins, too! Just bake for 20 minutes and not 40. Try it for yourself and tell me what you think!

Naked 3 Dupe Product Review

The Urban Decay Naked 3 pallets are so popular…but so expensive. They are such great quality eyeshadows, but it’s hard to dig into your wallet to spend the money on it. I went to the drugstore in hopes of finding a dupe pallet for the Naked 3 and I ran into the Maybelline Blushed Nudes pallet, which looked almost identical to the Naked 3 and only 10 dollars! I tested the quality of the pallet to find out if it’s a dupe for Naked 3, let’s find out!

DIY All Natural Skin Exfoliate skin

There are so many skin care products sold that you can easily make at home yourself. One product that is so easy to make and great for your skin is exfoliators! This exfoliator that I’m about to share with you is one of the best I’ve used for my face, and you won’t believe how easy and how cheap it is. This exfoliator will cost you $1, and chances are you have it in your kitchen already.

Baking Soda

(yep, that’s it.)

Pour some baking soda into a small bowl. Measure however much baking soda as to how much exfoliator you want. I usually just eyeball it. Get a small amount of water and slowly start adding it to the baking soda while mixing. Add the water depending on how creamy or gritty you like your exfoliators. I love them creamy, so I add a good amount of water.

After you wash your face, rub the exfoliator on your skin, in circular motions, and away from the eyes. Your skin should instantly feel softer! Don’t forget to moisturize after as well! By using this method your skin will feel much more clean and healthier than ever! Not to mention, you barely spend any money at all.

Leave a comment below and mention how it goes if you try it! What at home skin care routines do you do? I’m always interested in hearing about more DIYs!

Cartwheel by Target

If there is one place on this planet that sucks all my money out of my wallet it is Target. That place is completely irresistible. I walk in for shampoo, and leave with a brand new comforter, a new pair of shoes, and a popcorn maker. I think it’s impossible to go in there and only get what’s on your list. I don’t have any advice for you other Target addicts on how to break this obsession, but I have found a way that will help your wallets: Target’s Cartwheel App.

The Cartwheel app is the greatest thing to ever come to Target lovers. Basically before you hit the store, you open the app and browse all the offers they have. They have offers for every category that Target has: apparel, baby, beauty, cleaning supplies, electronics, entertainment, food, health, home, party & holiday, pets, toys, and sports. The offers are actually pretty good, too! You select which offers you want and place them in your ‘cart’ in the app.You can select up to 15 offers, which is a lot in my opinion! Once you go to Target you pick up what you selected from the app and they just scan your phone at the register and boom, you saved so much money!

You can save anywhere between 5%-30% off of select items. The more you use the app and the more you save, you can earn badges which gives you a selection of even better offers!

The app connects to your Facebook, and you can see how much your other friends who use the app saved at Target as well! You totally won’t feel nearly as bad for your Target addiction if you see that your friends are doing it too, and you’re all saving together!

Here is an example of what my current cart is before I head to Target tomorrow:

Seriously, this app is great! Go download it and see for yourself!
